Humbled to announce that I’ve won both The Knot’s “Best of Weddings Award” and WeddingWire’s “Couples’ Choice Award” for the 4th year in a row. I was also honored with the “Hall of Fame” award from The Knot for the consecutive years of recognition.

And as always my favorite part of these awards is that they are based on the wonderful reviews from all the awesome clients I get to work with each year. I’m so lucky in that regard and I cannot wait for what lies ahead in 2016. Many thanks and cheers!

***In other news I haven’t been able to update my site in quite some time as I’ve been just shooting and traveling all over this past year, and cannot get away from my editing station. Once I’m all caught up though I’ll be launching a brand new website with TONS of new work to show. Very excited to share! In the meantime my Instagram account @aframeforward has the latest tidbits and behind the scenes.

Is this still available for 2016?

I’m honored to announce that I have won two prestigious Wedding Photography distinctions, the 2015 The Knot “Best of Weddings” and the 2015 WeddingWire “Couples’ Choice” awards.

These awards recognize the top 5% of all wedding professionals nationwide. This is my third year in a row winning both of these awards and my absolute favorite part of them is that they are both based on actual client reviews, which couldn’t make me happier. Can’t wait to work with another round of awesome couples in the year ahead!

I cannot even begin to tell you how great it was working with these two and all their awesome friends and family! I love destination weddings and Mandi & Rudy’s 4th of July weekend wedding in Joseph, Oregon was one for the ages. Everything took place around the absolutely gorgeous Wallowa Lake which sits somewhat isolated from the rest of the world in northeast Oregon. From the firework show, to the beautiful log cabin resort, to the breathtaking ceremony high up on the moraine overlooking the lake, everything was just absolutely amazing. Following all that goodness there was an epic dance party that went into the wee hours until we ran around in the foothills under the starry and stunningly brilliant midnight sky. I don’t use this term lightly (or ever) but this destination wedding was truly amazeballs. 😉

Mandi found me searching the interwebs for all things ‘eco-friendly wedding’ and incorporated a lot of green into her big day which was very cool. I don’t know what can top this wedding but I’m sure looking forward to finding out!

Katie & Matt were a ton of fun to shoot with. We grabbed some Kayak’s and headed out on the water to cruise around beautiful Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis. Once we got off the water we grabbed some Nice Ride‘s and rode around for a bit. We made a quick stop at Stella’s Fish Cafe in Uptown to take in the sunset from their beautiful rooftop patio before ending the fun close to Comedy Sportz where Katie & Matt met for the first time. Matt is a comedian (and cinematographer) and Katie had followed his YouTube channel for some time and “stalked” him at one of his stand up performances.  😉

I’ll include a separate gallery below this one as they incorporated some of the goofiness of the Bloomington Brothers into the shoot as well…letter jacket and all. Check out Matt’s Nickelback parody video on his YouTube Channel which has well over 1 million views.

And here is the goofiness…
