Overview

Wedding ceremony space at the Van Dusen Mansion in Minneapolis

Each event space included in your wedding package has it’s own unique vibe and mood. As the day and evening progress, you and your guests will move throughout each of these spaces, keeping your guests excited and on their toes wondering where they will be going next.

The Mansion
You’ll be blown away by the lavish interior and historical vibes of the Mansion, which was built in 1892. From the original rich woodwork, Persian rugs, stained glass windows, and glistening chandeliers, you and your love can kiss on the stairs or hold hands under an arch for unforgettable photographs. Trust me, if you wanted a destination wedding to get married in an Ireland castle, this is as close as you’ll get in the United States! Guests will enjoy a lovely cocktail hour here.

The Ballroom
After your guests enjoy cocktails inside the mansion, they can take a few steps over to the Ballroom for dinner. The Ballroom offers a more modern space complete with plenty of natural lighting, chandeliers, head beaded wall coverings, and terrazzo floors. It can accommodate up to 200 seated guests and 250 standing guests. Each round dining table seats up to ten guests. They’ll enjoy sitting in the gold Chiavari chairs as these truly set the tone for your beautiful evening that awaits.

The Carriage House
After dinner, guests can dance the night away in the restored Carriage House. With some original elements still intact, this redesigned space is more like a New York lounge and party area! It features a large wooden dance floor, second-floor mezzanine with lounge furniture, and a generous bar area. Two levels of fun will take your reception to a whole new level! (Not to mention epic photographs I’ll be taking from above!)

The Courtyard
Enchanting, romantic, private, and lush, it’s the perfect location for your wedding ceremony. Paved by bricks and surrounded by gardens and trees, you’ll love saying your “I do’s” here. It’s also a great spot to host a social hour if you wish.

Bridal Lounge
Get ready on your big day in ultimate comfort and style with your closest friends and family. This spacious lounge features a salon makeup room, large seating area, and private restrooms. The Jade Room is located nearby which offers incredible lighting for those unforgettable getting ready photos.

Groom’s Lounge
Hey guys, listen up, this lounge is the “man cave” of your dreams! All your groomsmen can get ready, play pool on the vintage pool table, watch TV, play video games, and more. Insane leather couches and pub tables create an incredible atmosphere for your closest group of friends to enjoy together.
