Landscape Photography by Jackson Tyler Eddy
Minneapolis based. Chasing light and places across three continents for two decades. That’s The Wave up there, in Coyote Buttes, Arizona. Permit number three in the lottery, a hike at dawn, and handstands in the sandstone. A core memory.
Landscape Is Where My Love of This Craft Began
I’ve had a camera in my hand since ninth grade. Disposable cameras, mostly, for a long time. A snorkel trip to Akumal, Mexico. Road trips. Family trips. Friends. Whatever was in front of me.
I wasn’t calling it a craft then. I wasn’t calling it anything. I just knew that something in me relaxed when I had a frame to fill, and something in me came alive when light did something I’d never seen.
The real love of it ignited in 2002, in Nice, France.
A storm rolling half out at sea and half across the coastline at golden hour. I was standing on a roadside cliff with a disposable camera. The kind of light you can’t plan for and can’t forget. I remember the wind, the way the clouds cut the sun in half, and the exact feeling of knowing this was different.
That was the moment the work became the work.
Everything I do now, weddings, the way I see people and places, traces back to that evening on the coast. Nature is my church. Composition is how I think. Landscape is where all of it began.
Seventeen Years Chasing the Light Across the World
Places I’ve Photographed That I Can’t Stop Thinking About
Havasu Falls
Havasupai, Arizona. A permit, a ten mile hike into the canyon, and a waterfall so blue it doesn’t look real.
Land’s End, Cabo San Lucas
Baja Peninsula, Mexico. The Arch, the waves, and the exact end of a continent.
American Southwest
Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, The Wave, Coral Pink Sand Dunes, Lake Havasu. The best kind of road trip.
Olympic National Park
Washington. Rainforest, coastline, and Sol Duc Falls off the beaten path. One of my favorite places on earth.
Minnehaha Falls
Minneapolis, Minnesota. A rainy June day and a professional kayaker going over the fifty three foot drop.
Old Faithful Under Moonlight
Yellowstone, Wyoming. Featured by National Geographic.
Big Sur
California. The best coastline in the state and maybe the country. Epic adventures on Highway One.
Hawaii
Oahu and Maui. A zillion more images to edit from this trip. Favorites for now.

Minneapolis based. Seventeen years behind the camera. My landscape print “Old Faithful Under Moonlight” was featured by National Geographic, and my work has carried into Elle Decor and Photo District News.
When I’m not photographing weddings across Minnesota and worldwide, I’m chasing golden hour light wherever it leads. National parks. Coastlines. Desert. Waterfalls. Same eye. Different subject.

The Way I See Landscapes Is the Way I See Your Wedding
Couples who book me for nature forward celebrations, mountains, coastlines, state parks, already know this. It’s the same eye. The same obsession with light, with place, with the quiet moments that only happen when you show up early.
