Kids & Family Lifestyle Photography
Every day is beautiful if you know where to look.
I’ve been capturing Twin Cities kids and family photography, in a natural and easy going way, for over 12 years.
Whether it’s an important event, milestone or just the little things in life, I love capturing my clients authentic emotions and natural environments.
Being a father to two awesome boys myself has developed my “kid whisperer” abilities.
But moreso I am a big kid at heart myself full of curious and a playful spirit.
I had an amazing time shooting these Saint Paul dance photos with the talented (and humble) Carley Jensen. Our dance photography session began at Harriet Island Park, right across the river from downtown Saint Paul, MN. We finished our evening making...
I am so very excited to share these images and this story. Emerson is one of the coolest kids I’ve had the pleasure of hanging with and the story and path that led me here is right on par. It’s actually one of the main reasons you are seeing any of this in the first...
This is a beautiful story of a loving community coming together to help a sweet little boy find a new kidney that he so desperately needed. Little Jack Certain had kidney issues since his time in utero. He had his first transplant at age two, receiving a kidney from...
I love At-Home sessions, as the kids thrive in their natural environment, and the images always hold that extra special meaning on down the road. I had a blast playing with trains, reading books, and watching these two cute kids cruise around and do what they do. I...
This little guy was a blast to hang out with and beyond cool & cute. He was all smiles, and all boy, right from the get-go as we explored the forest. =D
This was my second visit with this cool family, and my first time meeting Mr. Miles. It was a beautiful summer evening at the park, and we had a lot of fun exploring and laughing it up together. For a hilarious outtake from this session pop over to my Facebook Page....
It was a hot one for this session, yet we had a blast nonetheless. These kids loved to run around and play…especially once we hit the water. What a couple of cute kiddos, and a wonderful family! I heart my job. =D
I had the pleasure of hanging with this little guy in Riviera Maya, Mexico. What a ball of joy Trystan is. Here’s some of my favorites from our time together. =D

I’m not your typical portrait photographer.
This is not a forced, sit and pose type of experience.
It’s authentic and genuine. I like to take my time, have some fun, and actually connect with each and every human being I photograph, whether it be a tiny child, a young adult, proud parents, or someone sharing their gifts with the world. And in doing so, I am able to create REAL images, and capture each persons one-of-kind personality.
We can spend time somewhere beautiful, doing something fun together, or even being yourself at home…or even all three! I’m also passport equipped and able to shoot anywhere in the world.
So, if you want to make some really epic images and perhaps dominate the holiday card game, we can go shoot in one of the many awesome national parks around the country, and beyond. The beach sounds good too, just make sure we go when it’s winter here in Minnesnowta.
